The national Funeral Consumers Alliance (FCA) has invited us to a virtual training session November 29 (8pm ET) to learn more about the Federal Trade Commission’s complaint submission process and the Consumer Sentinel Network. This free event is co-hosted by FCA, the National Home Funeral Alliance and the FTC. Several of our board members will attend. The goal of the training is to learn how to make a Sentinel report so that we can file consumer complaints with the FTC, and/or help consumers file their complaints. The overall goal is to report any instances of fraud (e.g., violations of the Funeral Rule) and thereby help improve the death care industry.
