We have a new supply of the FCA planner booklet titled “Before I Go, You Should Know” (also known as the B.I.G. book). See our newly-updated page about these planners, which have been published for years by the national Funeral Consumers Alliance. We provide one booklet to each new member of FCAWM. Additional copies (for other family members or friends) may be acquired, either from us or from the FCA store.
REMINDER: It is wise to review YOUR B.I.G. book to be sure the instructions you wrote (years ago?) still reflect your choices today. TODAY – a very snowy day in February – might be an excellent time to FIND your planner and UPDATE it.
A new edition came out in 2025; it is slightly longer, now 38 pages, and has a blue banner on the cover. Editions from 2013 to 2024 had a green banner, and 30 or 32 pages. The original design (2000) was a smaller format booklet containing 16 pages, in a turquoise cover. Many of our long-term members probably still have that old version. That’s fine to keep, as long as it still accurately conveys your wishes. The new longer versions have added sections about pets, finances, digital assets, etc.
