Rethinking Death in America...

An article published in U.S. News & World Report on October 31, 2018, is titled “Rethinking Death in America.” The author, staff writer Matthew Cella, describes the shift in choices that Americans are making regarding funerals and what to do with the body.  Cremation, once rare, has become much more popular. A third-generation funeral director in Georgia is quoted as expressing surprise at how quickly the numbers have changed. The rate of change seems to be accelerating.

I recommend the whole article, which was brought to my attention on the Funeral Consumers Alliance’s Facebook page today.
